Welcome to the Den!

North Middle School challenges each student to reach his or her full potential. Our focus encompasses three areas: building a friendly, inviting school where teachers want to teach, students want to learn, and parents are confident and proud of our learning environment, providing a learning environment that engages students through relevant instruction, hands-on learning, technology- rich experiences, and collaborative practices; giving students opportunities to grow and imagine their future by offering a variety of academic and career exploration.

We prepare our students for a world that is quickly changing. Along the way, we provide students with many resources and opportunities for success. As a result, typically over half our students are on the honor roll and involved in extracurricular activities and clubs. In addition, our students continue to excel in Academic Bowl, Science Olympiad, Math counts, Geography bowl, and Science Bowl competitions representing the excellence and achievement of our Grizzlies. They learn the value of community service through our Team events as well as other opportunities. We are preparing our students to succeed in high school and to become career, college, and citizenship ready.

Positive relationships are critical to success in school as is academic progress. You will be invited to family nights and conferences throughout the year. We want to work as a team with you to ensure the success of your student, so please join us. We encourage you to sign up with our outstanding PTA organization. It is a great way to support your student in having the very best education.

North Middle School and its staff are dedicated to addressing the unique nature of middle school children by focusing on their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. We work to provide a sensitive, caring, and supportive learning environment that include experiences to assist students as they make the transition from elementary to high school. We hope you find this information reassuring and helpful.

Thank you for being our partners in our outstanding learning community at NMS. We appreciate the opportunity to take care of your students and provide them the very best education possible.
